Accessing the internet through mobile devices is not anymore limited to just checking one’s e-mail or accessing mobile websites. A lot of telecommunication companies now offers mobile wireless broadband to their subscribers. That means full access to the web limited to what kind of web content one’s browser is capable of rendering. Telecom companies offer different subscription plans wherein one can choose how much bandwidth one would like to have and what kind of mobile devices will use the internet access.

For simple web browsing, cellphones with adequate web browsers can connect though the internet through 3G networks offered by wireless internet providers which also means one’s mobile service provider. Cellphone internet though has its limitations. First of all it does not have a large storage space so uploading and downloading files can only be limited to photos, audio, and small video files.

A lot of mobile computers like tablet PC’s and laptop computers benefit best from wireless mobile internet. Most next generation tablet computers have an integrated 3G network access. This means one can access the internet by using more powerful browsers as well as larger storage space.

But, for heavy internet users, it is recommended to get a dedicated wireless internet dongle from one’s wireless provider. These dongles are USB devices that can be connected to any computer with a USB port. This means that one need not look for a Wi-Fi access spot to connect to the internet. As long a one’s wireless providers have a strong signal wherever one needs web access there would be no problem. The dongles are also so small that it can be carried around anywhere without any difficulty. It’s USB port connectivity also means it can be used with multiple devices. With netbook and laptops having the full web browser versions with all the add-ons and content access capabilities, one will be able to enjoy all that the internet has to offer. That means watching movies and videos online, while having the ability to play online computer games at the same time. One can also download large files without worrying about storage space or the connection being too slow.
